Idea Centre

Starting in Term One I’m very excited to say that Room 14 will again be working with the adults at the Idea Center. The Idea center is a day center for adults with physical and mental disabilities.

Our Goals are:

1st  Is to overcome personal fear or awkwardness of being around individuals with mental and physical.

2nd To work with the Idea staff to  identify activities in which both the adults and students can benefit from, such as reading.

3rd The students will create/build resources for the adults to use and benefit from, such as sensory boards.

You can visit the Idea website at: Idea Centre

STEP 1.We got the tyres from a man who works at the Idea center.
STEP 2.We asked Mr. Macmillan for paint that we needed to paint the tyres.
STEP 3.We painted four tyres, two yellow tyres and two purple tyres.
STEP 4.We gave it to the idea people and they were very happy.
